Transforming Journeys Africa (TJ Africa) is a catalytic intermediary providing philanthropy advisory services that strengthen how capital flows across African impact ecosystems, with a focus on locally led development and more effective, trust-based approaches to giving. We work at the intersection of funders and proximate African leaders, addressing both sides of the funding equation.

Through a combination of strategic advisory, institutional capacity building, and the TJ Africa Fund, we support clearer decision-making while strengthening the systems, leadership, and readiness of African grassroots organisations, particularly women-led ventures, to access, manage, and sustain capital in line with trust-based philanthropy principles.

In practice, this enables corporate foundations, private foundations, and family offices to deploy resources with clarity, alignment, and accountability through strategic research, curated pipelines, and disciplined matching with credible, mission-aligned organisations.
